Committed to Conservation:  Miller Woods at 50 Years

Join the Friends of Miller Woods as they celebrate 50 years since the acquisition of the woods!  Several local conservation groups will share their success stories.  Co-sponsored by Bosch Community Fund.

Tuesday, April 17, 7 p.m.

Dr. John Hartig, former manager of the Detroit International Wildlife Refuge, and author of Bringing Conservation to Cities, will talk about the Humbug Marsh and the role of local citizens in its success.

Douglas Koop, Executive Director of Legacy Land Conservancy, will discuss six of their significant land protection projects, including those that are accessible for trail walking, birding, nature study and/or photography.
